Mapping Q, a museum program for LGBTQ+ youth. This community-based initiative is a collaboration between the Southern Arizona Aids Foundation (SAAF), Museum of Contemporary Art Tucson, the University of Arizona Museum of Art, and the Tucson Museum of Art.
Memories in the Making PLUS, together the Desert Southwest Chapter and the Tucson Museum of Art provide gallery-based experiences and hands-on art making opportunities for individuals diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
Museum as Sanctuary is a unique community partnership focusing on the benefits of creative expression through art-making and in-gallery activities created in collaboration with The Hopi Foundation’s Owl & Panther Project.
TMA’s partnership with the VA Hospital provides multi-sensory gallery experiences, guided verbal descriptive tours, and tactile gallery experiences for veterans from all over the U.S. who are in Tucson for training at The Southwestern Blind Rehabilitation Center.
