Explore the significance of performance and dance in relation to 30 Americans. The evening will feature the Barbea Williams Performing Company, live music, art-making, and a cash bar.

 


About the Barbea Williams Performing Company: Barbea Williams Performing Company is Arizona’s premier African Centered Performing Company. Our emphasis is on African and African Latino dance, choreography, choreo-poetry, folklore, story dance, children’s games, costume design, face painting/body art and history.

“We express our diverse heritage through multigenerational mentoring/exchanges which utilizes the arts to express healthy lifestyle choices.  We offer dance and drum classes for all age groups and skill levels, community and career-oriented Artists.  Affiliated with University of Arizona School of Dance – Afrikana Dance Ensemble, BWPC Dance and Art Academy and S.P.Ar.C.C. (South Park Art and Culture Center).”

 


On the first Thursday of every month, the Tucson Museum of Art is free and open to the public from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
