In Dialogue: Historical and Contemporary European Conversations
5:30 p.m. AND 7:00 p.m.
During this dialogue, visitors will discuss the artworks of historical and contemporary European artists. Considering how European artists have been highly regarded in exhibitions in the United States, visitors will discuss how current artists view their identities and positionality within contemporary times. Focusing on “Cowboy Angel” by Yinka Shonibare, visitors will discuss how the artist comments on his individual experiences within his national context and consider their connection with their own national identity.
On the first Thursday of every month, the Tucson Museum of Art is free and open to the public from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Join us for exciting evenings featuring live music, performances, art-making, unique gallery experiences, and cash bar serving local beer and wine.
The Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block loves to include images of our visitors in our social media, online, and print publications. For more information, click here.
