Free First Thursday / TMA:Handmade ft. Farid Matuk

The first Thursday of the month is here, which means Happy Hour @ TMA and TMA:Handmade featuring artist Farid Matuk. Examine the poetic process and how language paints a picture through with writing prompts, readings, and gallery exploration. The museum will be free from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with Local @TMA serving up a curated selection of local beer and wine. TMA: Handmade is supported in part by awards from the National Endowment for the Arts and RBC Wealth Management Foundation.

CINEMA LA PLACITA – ALL THE PRESIDENT’S MEN

This summer TMA is hosting the popular outdoor film series, Cinema La Placita, in our plaza every Thursday! Join us for the 1976 classic, All the President's Men, starring Robert Redford, Dustin Hoffman, Jason Robards and Hal Holbrook.  A cash bar and food truck will be on site and  Café a la C’Art will serve dinner until 9:00 p.m.

Cinema La Placita – The Russians are Coming, The Russians are Coming!

June 8 at 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

This summer TMA is hosting the popular outdoor film series, Cinema La Placita, in our plaza every Thursday! Join us for the 1966 classic, The Russians Are Coming, The Russians Are Coming!, starring Carl Reiner, Eva Marie Saint, Alan Arkin and Jonathan Winters, directed by Norman Jewison. A cash bar and food truck will be on site and  Café a la C’Art will serve dinner until 9:00 p.m.  

La Casa Cordova Celebration

June 9 at 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Join the Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block in celebrating over a century of architecture, history, community, and stories! This event will feature two sets by Mariachi Milagro at 6:15 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. as well as a performance by Borderlands Theater at 7:45 p.m. Light fare and a cash bar will be available.

Second SundAZe @ TMA

Second SundAZe @ TMA presented by The Stonewall Foundation features free admission for Arizona and Sonora, Mexico residents every second Sunday of the month. In addition to free admission and gallery access, the Museum will host drop in art making activities. June's Second SunAZe activities will focus on the craft of wearable art. Join us for the 1962 classic, The Manchurian Candidate, starring Frank Sinatra, Janet Leigh, Lawrence Harvey and Angela Lansbury, directed by John Frankenheimer.  A cash bar and food truck will be on site and  Café a la C’Art will serve dinner until 9:00 p.m.

Second SundAZe @ TMA

July 9 at 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Second SundAZe @ TMA presented by The Stonewall Foundation features free admission for Arizona and Sonora, Mexico residents every second Sunday of the month. In addition to free admission and gallery access, the Museum will host drop in art making activities. July’s Second SunAZe activities will focus on exploring shape. Shapes are everywhere, can you see them? Coffee will be provided by Cartel Coffee Lab.
