Free First Thursday / TMA:Handmade ft. Gary Setzer

May 4 at 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The first Thursday of the month is here, which means Happy Hour @ TMA and TMA:Handmade featuring artist Gary Setzer. Explore performance art, video art, live sound, and the relationship we have with language. The museum will be free from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with Local @TMA serving up a curated selection of local beer and wine. TMA: Handmade is supported in part by awards from the National Endowment for the Arts and RBC Wealth Management Foundation.

Cinema La Placita – What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?

This summer TMA is hosting the popular outdoor film series, Cinema La Placita, in our plaza every Thursday! The season kicks off this week the Bette Davis & Joan Crawford thriller, Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? A cash bar and food truck will be on site and  Café a la C'Art will serve dinner until 9:00 p.m.

Cinema La Placita – Thelma and Louise

May 11 at 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

This summer TMA is hosting the popular outdoor film series, Cinema La Placita, in our plaza every Thursday! Join us for the 1991 classic, Thelma and Louise, starring Susan Sarandon, Geena Davis, Harvey Keitel, Brad Pitt, and Michael Madsen. A cash bar and food truck will be on site and  Café a la C'Art will serve dinner until 9:00 p.m.

Second SundAZe @ TMA

May 14 at 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Second SundAZe @ TMA presented by The Stonewall Foundation features free admission for Arizona and Sonora, Mexico residents every second Sunday of the month. In addition to free admission and gallery access, the Museum will host drop-in art making activities. May’s Second SunAZe activities will take inspiration from Body Language, exploring a variety of types of traditional, abstract, and experimental portraiture. Coffee will be available for purchase from Cartel Coffee Lab.

Cinema La Placita – Butch Cassidy and the Sunshine Kid

This summer TMA is hosting the popular outdoor film series, Cinema La Placita, in our plaza every Thursday! Join us for the 1969 western classic, Butch Cassidy and the Sunshine Kid, starring Paul Newman, Robert Redford and Katherine Ross. A cash bar and food truck will be on site and  Café a la C’Art will serve dinner until 9:00 p.m.

Join us for Billy Wilder's 1959 classic, Some Like it Hot, starring Jack Lemmon, Tony Curtis, and Marilyn Monroe. A cash bar and food truck will be on site and  Café a la C’Art will serve dinner until 9:00 p.m.

The first Thursday of the month is here, which means Happy Hour @ TMA and TMA:Handmade featuring artist Farid Matuk. Examine the poetic process and how language paints a picture through with writing prompts, readings, and gallery exploration. The museum will be free from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with Local @TMA serving up a curated selection of local beer and wine. TMA: Handmade is supported in part by awards from the National Endowment for the Arts and RBC Wealth Management Foundation.
