Planned Giving

Giving to our cause can be done either directly or through a gift model that can provide tax benefits and even income.

How to Give

Lifetime Income

  • Charitable Gift Annuity
You transfer your cash or appreciated property to our organization in exchange for our promise to pay you fixed payments (with rates based on your age) for the rest of your life or term of years.
  • Charitable Remainder Trust
You transfer your cash or appreciated property to fund a charitable remainder trust. The trust sells your property tax free and provides you with income for life or a term of years.

Charitable Lead Trust

You fund a trust that makes gifts to us for a lifetime or a number of years. Your family receives the trust remainder at substantial tax savings.

Bequest

You designate our organization as the beneficiary of your asset by will, trust or beneficiary designation form.

Retirement Assets

You make the charity the beneficiary of retirement assets. If you are over 70 1/2, during your lifetime you distribute to charity directly from your retirement account.

The Gift of Art

Leave the charity your artwork.

Life Estate in Residence

You give your property to our organization but retain the right to use the property during your life.

Life Insurance

Make the museum the beneficiary of the policy.

Kennedy Family Trust

“The Tucson Museum of Art was the perfect choice in our decision to join the Legacy Society and naming the museum in our estate. We wanted to create a legacy during our lives, to broaden and enhance the scope of the museums western art collection, hoping that people visiting the museum will see the art we have donated, and come away with a love and appreciation of our western heritage. The Tucson Museum of Art is the perfect place. We enjoyed visiting the museum since becoming members, and knew this would be the final home for our collection.”
